Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, College Town Branch

Rochester, NY (2014)

CNB’s new bank branch was a critical piece as the only financial establishment of the overall masterplan for the new ‘College Town’ development on Mt. Hope Avenue. The bank wanted a physical presence in the new development focused on young professionals that live and work in the area centered around the U of R. Mossien Associates was tasked with taking the bank’s ideas of what a new branch might look like and integrating those ideas in a 2,500SF interior buildout. The new space contains office and meeting rooms, an interactive interior banking kiosk, individual computer station access, an exterior ATM and two teller pods. The teller pods, a new concept in banking for CNB, utilizes traditional tellers in a more interactive environment where the tellers can perform more than just the traditional currency transaction. The pods as well as the layout of the branch is a new way of thinking for CNB and one that they hope to use as a prototype in future branch design. The team of CNB, Mossien Associates and Frank J. Marianacci Construction worked together to bring the bank’s vision to reality.
