New construction can be very exciting and allow us to stretch our creative muscles but historic preservation and building restoration can be even more challenging.
Documenting, field measuring, research and determining appropriate means and methods can be a great deal of work but very rewarding.
We have also come to understand and navigate ‘the system’ when it comes to dealing with public entities such as State Historic Preservation Office.
We have had a chance to work on some rewarding and notable historic renovation projects in Western and Upstate New York such as the Buckland Farmhouse in Brighton, the Chapin Building, Rohm Services and Trants Building in Rochester, and the Smith Opera House in Geneva.
